Reviewing for your final exam can seem overwhelming. Don't let it be! Study a little bit at a time. Use your time wisely. If you finish your work in another class, ask to get on the computer and do a USA Test Prep or Study Stack. Use your people... moms, dads, friends, grandparents. Have them quiz you.
1. Standards Check-off Sheets
Use the check-off sheets in your notebook to test yourself. What boxes have you NOT checked off? Work on those the most! Find the correct tab on my website and review the Powerpoints, Study Stacks, or map games associated with that standard and then retest yourself. Have your parents read off the statements to you and explain that standard to them... then check it off!

2. Study Stacks and Map Games
Click on the different unit tabs and do one or two study stacks a night for vocabulary review. For geography, review the maps and play the map games for each region on the appropriate tab. The Map Reviews below are games you can play in Notebook. If you don't have a Mac, this probably won't work. If there is time in another teacher's room or during Literacy Block, perhaps you could play them then on their Mac. The "Mother of All Study Stacks" below has all the vocabulary words from the year! The blank maps could be used to quiz yourself or play TAPS.

3. USA Test Prep
I have assigned practice benchmarks to each student with unlimited chances. Take a test and look closely at the questions you missed. Read the explanation given for the right answer! USA Test Prep also has games to play and videos to watch! Go to "6th Milestones" on the homepage and click on social studies. Then, click any weak standard from the year. 4. Study Guide
Each student has a final exam study guide in his or her notebook with vocabulary words/definitions, maps, and review questions. Quiz each other! Perhaps you could highlight the vocabulary words you know, and continue to do so as you study and learn them. You will be surprised how much you will remember!
